About the Building

Artic Cold is a state-of-the-art food processing and cold storage facility located in Oxnard, California. The facility serves the substantial agricultural industry of Ventura County. The 560,000 square-foot facility was designed to maximize the operational efficiencies to accommodate the long-term storage and high volume picking with four separate shipping and receiving docks with a total of 38 dock doors, two different types of blast freezers and several types of racking systems. The project was designed for LEED certification, adhering to CAL Green. Smith MEP performed the plumbing and electrical scopes.
