About Smith MEP

Smith MEP is an employee-owned contractor that has grown through hard work and dedication since being founded as Smith Electric Service in 1980. The founders, the Brannon Family, devoted all their energy to developing a successful business with a reputation for providing California’s Central Coast with quality work.

Smith has evolved from its roots to become the present multi-dimensional mechanical, electrical, plumbing and general construction company that operates today. In 2019, Smith Electric Service became a subsidiary of ACCO Engineered Systems and was renamed Smith Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing, or Smith MEP, to be better inclusive of the services Smith MEP provides. For over 40 years, Smith MEP continues to serve California’s Central Coast and Central Valley, from Fresno to Bakersfield, and beyond.

The Smith MEP team is experienced and versatile in all facets of design, construction and maintenance. Smith MEP is comprised of a diverse group of talented people who strive for sustainable growth through quality service and workmanship.
